Masters and Opens

Masters competition is an exciting part of being involved in the club and is one aspect that attracts and keeps many members involved. Not only is it adrenaline pumping fun, our masters aim to prepare lifesavers for their role in saving lives, enhancing their relevant fitness and skills.

The North Avoca Surf Life Saving Club Masters Team are proud of the fact that we compete in multiple disciplines of Surf Sports.  We try to make your time at North Avoca as all-inclusive as possible, throughout surf sports competition.

Our masters currently compete in the below disciplines of surf lifesaving competition:

• Board, Ski & Swim (including Pool Rescue)
• IRB
• Beach
• Lifesaving

In 2020 our North Avoca masters came out in force to compete against the best at both Branch and State Tiles, with the team winning the Branch Titles at Avoca Beach and placing 8th in the state with some great performances being matched.

Whilst partaking in official club training Members must wear pink fluro vest and for 5.30 am start sessions please adhere to the club’s buddy safety system.
