Surf Sports at North Avoca SLSC

North Avoca SLSC provides the perfect training ground for all surf sport activities

The Surf Sports aspect of the Surf Lifesaving plays a significant role in ensuring that our members have the ability and passion to meet the changing environment within which we deliver our essential lifesaving service. It also gives members the opportunity to gain recognition for their sporting efforts at the same time.

Competitions are held at local, interstate and international locations. Whether you aspire to be a more competent Lifesaver or wish to represent your Club, State or Country, Surf Sports at North Avoca can help you achieve this goal.

Surf Sports represents the oldest traditions in Surf Lifesaving and has a long history with the first Australian Surf Titles held in 1915 at Bondi Beach. The North Avoca Surf Sports Team regularly compete at local, state, national and world championships and we boast several, State, Australian & World Title Holders.

To be eligible to compete in surf lifesaving carnivals, you must be a financial, proficient member who has completed the required patrol hours for your category of membership. In most cases, this is 25 hours.
