Planning for the Future – Member and Community Consultation Part 1

Delivering a substantial infrastructure project is a massive undertaking and one that is a multi-year process. Our Club Board and Building Committee have been diligently working together with our engaged Architects, through the Planning and Design Phase.

Here is a brief overview of what has occurred to date:

Thorough due diligence report established using subject matter expert data
Council Consultation
Brief established and drafted
Architect firm engaged for concept planning and DA process
A fundraising grant (NSW Government Planning and Design Grant) secured for purpose of assisting us to the DA phase
Architect has developed early CONCEPT plans and renders.
Member and community consultation process part 1, presented on the 30^{th of} August 2026 by our engaged architects, Webber Architects.

Please note that this is a planning and design phase and plans are concept plans. It is NOT a construction project plan phase. Construction will not commence, and budgets will not be finalised, without the completion of a thorough consultation process.

What’s Next?

Members and community welcome to submit feedback to building@naslsc.com.au prior to 18^th September
Feedback assessed and implemented accordingly
Member and Community consultation part two will occur October 2026
Concept adoption
Architect to finalise plans for DA lodgement
DA lodgment to council by the end of December 2026
Once the DA has been approved, the board will transition to phase 2 of the project, which is finance acquisition and associated project management tasks required for building construction

We are very excited by the benefits and opportunity a new building will provide to our surf lifesaving service, our members and the wider central coast community.
